Hi, My name is Chance. I am a handsome fellow and love people. I will have a health record, etc. that you can take to the vet so your vet can see what vaccines, wormings, etc. I have had. I have been eating Purina Puppy Chow and I like yogurt and cottage cheese, also. I made a trip to the vet when I was approx. 3-1/2 weeks because my right eye was not opening and my human Mom was concerned and thought that I did not have an eye there. So, after a trip to the vet he confirmed what my Mom thought. For whatever the reason I do not have an eye on my right side. It is possible that I was not born with it or that something happened after being born. The vet said, that it was better for me to be this way now than to lose my sight later in life. Now, don’t feel sorry for me because I know how to take care of myself and I don’t really know what it is to not have my eye, so I can do everything my brother and sisters can do. Hey, I can do it better. I am the first to the water and food bowl and I can wrestle like no other pup can.
I had my vet checkup at 6-1/2 weeks old and the vet said I had know problems with the exception of missing my right eye and he said that I was doing fine and I would not miss it since I had never had it.
The main thing is that I have been given a “Chance” at life and I promise that I will make the best of it. I am very friendly and love to play. I need someone that will love me for being me and not because I am missing an eye. I want a family that will not always shelter me because I don’t have the one eye but will challenge me so that I can be the best buddy or friend that anyone ever had or will have. I believe that I can make a wonderful member of your family and that we together can bring joy and happiness to each other. What do you think??? Are you up for the challenge of keeping up with me???
Chance has now gone to live in Greenville, North Carolina. They fell in love with him and when they came to see him, he fell in love with them. Chance started with kisses and let still giving kisses. Chance has a big brother (Jordan) and a cat (MooMoo) that he can play with. Jordan and Chance hit it off and MooMoo, well he thought he could chase Chance like it did Jordan, but Chance had other thoughts.
Chance’s name has been changed to Cylar and as you can see in the pictures that the family sent on 11-2-06 (below) Cylar is getting along well and has made himself right at home.
